The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Adedamola Adebayo, popularly known as FRYO has declared his support for the re-election bid of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
The development was announced during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of(NUJ), where the candidate publicly expressed his readiness to support Adeleke’s bid for a second term in office under the Accord Party.
The gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Adedamola Adebayo, FRYO who spoke on his decision, said his support for Adeleke of the Accord Party was based on his assessment of the governor’s leadership, achievements and commitment to the development of Osun State.
He noted that the decision was in the interest of the state and its people, urging his supporters and other stakeholders to work towards the success of Adeleke’s second-term ambition of the Accord Party.
His declaration is expected to generate further reactions within the state’s political space as political parties and aspirants intensify preparations ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election.
The press conference also provided an opportunity for the candidate to address issues surrounding his political decision and his position on the forthcoming election.
The development marks a significant political alignment within the PDP camp as Governor Adeleke seeks to secure another term in office under the Accord Party.
