IPA ENDORSES JOHN ROTIMI FAKANLU FOR IJESHA YOUTH FORUM PRESIDENT

As the quest for the participation of youth in inclusive governance and community development gains momentum in Nigeria, the Imesi-Ile Progressive Association (IPA) hereby endorses and supports Mr. John Rotimi Fakanlu (JRF) as the next President of Ijesha Youth Forum (IYF).

The election will be held on July 19, 2025.

IPA is the apex organization of all sons, daughters, and wives of Imesi-Ile, under the regal leadership of our father, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr). Ademola Akinyemi, Oyoyo II, Owa Ooye of Imesi-Ile.

A grassroots mobilizer emblazoned with cosmopolitan zest, Fakanlu is an embodiment of native intelligence and camaraderie, which eminently qualified him as the National Youth Coordinator of IPA. He has, since, taking the mantle of IPA youth leadership, been encouraging the youths in Imesi-Ile – his native place, to grow a peerless interest in community development in all ramifications.

Besides, he has been relating with both home-based and Diaspora teenagers and youths to integrate them with the plans and programmes of IPA.

IPA believes that Rotimi Fakanlu has the erudition, vibrancy, and demonstrated experience to bring innovative ideas to chart the course of youth leadership in Ijesaland, comprising Obokun, Oriade, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Atakumosa East, and Atakumosa West local governments.

He has done this as a student at the University of Ibadan, native of Obokun, indigene of Imesi-Ile, and even as the Secretary of Ijesha Youth Forum, as he serves out his tenure, and hopeful of the IYF headman.

IPA urges all Ijesha-speaking students and youths to vote massively for JRF in the forthcoming election, as he plans to deploy his wealth of experience, transformative gusto, and network to the leadership of the Forum.
