AI is the new future of education, as learning has now moved beyond the four walls of the classroom,” said Mr. Oluwaseyi Adegbite, CEO of Anettcom Technologies, during a one-day training session for pupils and students of Adekids International School.
Mr. Adegbite made this remark while delivering a training titled: “Tech-Savvy Tomorrow: Empowering Students with AI & Digital Skills for 21st Century Success.”
The training, which is one in a series of sessions held across various schools in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, is aimed at equipping students with tech-savvy skills essential for modern education.
Admonishing the students, Mr. Adegbite emphasized that AI is now an integral part of our lives, noting that “AI performs tasks just like humans and can mimic human behavior.”
Commenting on the benefits to the students, Mrs. Paulin Bamidele, Proprietress of Adekids International School, expressed her admiration for the training. She noted that it caught her attention because she wants her graduates to become self-reliant and not dependent on white-collar jobs.
Meanwhile, a male student, Oyebode Damilare, shared that he has learned how to use Canva and looks forward to offering graphic design services. Likewise, a female student identified as Awoyemi Rodiat said she has discovered a new understanding of technology and is eager to learn more about AI.
The training featured an introduction to Canva for graphic design, KhanAcademy.org—a learning platform for all subjects—basic computer usage and typing, internet and online safety, as well as the Duolingo app for language learning.
Anettcom Technologies, a startup located at Suite 1, Grace Gas House, Omobolanle, Osogbo, offers tech-driven services including coding, app creation, website development, and administrative software training.
